Our Story

Dantzler MMC is a revitalization and Church Plant in the Global Methodist Church, but Dantzler Memorial Methodist is an iconic Church in Moss Point, Mississippi.  When the City of Moss Point was founded, all major denominations meet in the Methodist Church and would rotate out having one service a month!  As time went on, each congregation got their own buildings, and the Dantzler Family, a leader in the logging industry of Mississippi, built our Sanctuary.  The sanctuary has been used for many, many weddings, funerals, and Baptisms over the years, and is as much as part of the Gulf Coast as Burnham's Drug Stores.  

In the 21st Century, we want to be a church that is intergenerational.  We love that we have have a classic style, and we love that we have a gospel centered, Biblical vision and mission that welcomes everyone with grace based. Wesleyan tradition.  What we need now is young families, young adults, singles, and those seeking a faith, to come join us and help us to serve the community of Moss Point.  We want to be a magnet for the gospel and Social Action that will heal and renew not only our legacy, but the hearts, souls, minds, and bodies of our city. 

We are open to offering more than one gathering as we grow, to changing worship styles, and to everyone and anyone that wants to join a community of Jesus loving people.  Want you consider calling Dantzler your home as we reach Moss Point and beyond!
